About OmniConverter
We got tired of juggling tabs just to convert miles to kilometers — so we built one calm, fast place that does it right, for free, for everyone.
Answers as you type
No “convert” button. Start typing and every unit updates live — it feels like the tool is thinking right with you. Zero waiting, zero second-guessing.
Numbers you can actually trust
Not rough estimates. Factors come from BIPM, NIST and ISO 80000, stored unrounded and computed through a base unit — so your homework, your recipe, and your spec all come out right.
Works wherever you are
Phone on the train, laptop in the workshop, tablet in the kitchen — it adapts beautifully, light or dark, and feels at home everywhere.
Easy on the eyes, easy on the nerves
High-contrast type, soft dark mode, and a layout that stays calm even when you’re in a hurry. Less strain, more clarity when it matters.
What we quietly do for you
OmniConverter started with a simple frustration: why is a simple conversion still annoying in 2026? Today it’s a small, caring suite: a unit converter that speaks 20+ languages of measurement — from length and weight to shoe sizes and fuel economy — plus OmniColors for designers hunting the perfect palette, OmniFonts to try 200+ Google Fonts with your own words, OmniImages to tame photos without uploading them to a server, OmniText to clean up words, and OmniHistory to wander through 25 timelines of how we got here. Each tool does one thing well, and they all feel like they belong together.
Who we picture when we build
- You, the student at 11pm trying to turn 5 miles into kilometers before the homework is due — needing a clear answer, not a lecture.
- You, stepping off a plane and wondering what 68°F actually feels like, or what US 9 means in EU shoe sizing — needing a quick, humane answer on your phone.
- You, the engineer or builder double-checking a force or pressure figure where “close enough” isn’t good enough — needing exact, traceable math.
- You, finding a coat online from a French boutique or a Japanese store — trying to decode sizes without the return hassle.
- You, the developer or designer nudging px to pt, or bytes to megabytes, trying to make the mockup match reality.
- You, in the kitchen, coaxing a recipe from cups to grams and Fahrenheit to Celsius, hoping it still tastes like home.
At home everywhere
From a classroom in Toronto to a workshop in Berlin, a market in Mumbai to a café in Sydney — people open OmniConverter for a few seconds and get on with their day. It speaks eight languages, loads in milliseconds, and respects your privacy (your values never leave your device). Small, steady, and quietly useful — that’s how we like it.
We don’t sell your attention
No ads inside the converters, no tracking of what you convert. Your numbers stay on your device. We’d rather earn a bookmark than a click.
We don’t guess the math
Every factor is stored unrounded and computed through a base unit in double precision. For currency, we show the Frankfurter/ECB date right on the page.
We don’t disappear
Eight languages, dark mode that actually feels good, and a team that still replies from a real inbox. We build for the long quiet use, not the quick visit.
How we check our work
Someone on the team actually opens the BIPM SI Brochure (9th ed.) and NIST SP 811 — not a random blog. Length, weight, temperature, pressure and the rest are derived from those definitions; currency is pulled from Frankfurter/ECB with the date shown. Then we test against IANA time-zone data for DST, and against ISO 9407 and brand tables for shoe and clothing sizes. If a factor changes, we update the page, not just the code.
Free means we can be picky about correctness. It’s a good trade.
Meet the team
OmniConverter is built by a small, distributed team of engineers and editors. Engineering tends the conversion engine and the 20+ converters, 17 image tools and PDF helpers; Editorial double-checks every constant against NIST/BIPM and shapes the guides so they sound like a person. We’re not huge — we just care a lot. Reach us at support@omniconverter.org and a human will write back.
Give it a quick try?
Type a value anywhere — length, temperature, currency — and watch every unit answer at once. No account, no clutter. Just the conversion you needed, handled.
